Kiensle's Ranch was sold... Moe Rascon, a long time gyro pilot, has been able to purchase the property.

Moe has promised to clean up Kiensle's and make it a great place for gyros and ultra lights.  El Mirage will continue to be the premiere gyro flying area in Southern California. Thanks Moe!

Quickest way to get to El Mirage from the south...

El Mirage Dry Lake is about 15 miles west of Victorville.  If you are  driving from So Cal: North 15 to 138 West (turn left) towards  Wrightwood.

As you crest the hill... North  (Right turn only) on Sheep Creek Road.  Go through Phelan (this is the  last town). Sheep Creek dead ends into.

El Mirage Road East (right) on El Mirage Road to the official El Mirage entrance (there's a big sign).

Or from Route 395 at Adelanto, go west on Air Expressway to right on Koala Rd, left on El Mirage road to lake access Mountain Rd.
